Skills Training Programs
The 2010 Litigation Skills Training was a sell-out success. The increasingly popular program offers two days of training in core litigation skills, including opening and closing statements, direct and cross examination, investigation, discovery, and evidence. The format combines presentation with small-group guided practice sessions. The next Litigation Skills Training will be in May 2011.
In the Spring of 2011, the Council will host a Question & Answer Lunch-Time Training featuring an expert panel who will give a small presentation of key issues and spend the bulk of the allotted time taking questions from participants. The topic for that training is not yet determined and will be decided based on feedback from Council members.
The Washington Council of Lawyers is uniquely positioned to bring together not only law firm and legal services attorneys to provide these types of programs, but other professionals as well whose work affects our members' interests and those of the larger legal community.
